Cannon Repair

Work inside the shop continue at a breakneck pace. The race to finish the cannon is on.
Here are a few photos of the process.
The top photo is a depiction of the rotten wood removed. There was quite a bit more on other parts of the cannon.
The second photo is of the repair to that location. The material used is an epoxy to fill the gaping hole.
Photo three is the sanding of the repair material. Once cured, the epoxy can be treated just like wood.
The fourth photo shows many of the parts removed to accomplish this task. Notice there is no barrel, right wheel or other components. These were sent out for painting.
Painting has been completed and the final assembly is in progress.
The cannon will return to it's rightful spot today at the rear of the clubhouse.
Just an FYI, there is over 100 hours of work that has gone into repairing this cannon.
I hope you enjoy it's new look.
